Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking an experienced Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) to lead specialized hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. The role focuses on evaluation, custom splinting, and developing recovery plans within an integrated care team.

Responsibilities include supervising therapy staff, orthotic fabrication, post-surgical rehab, and collaboration with surgeons and clinicians. Required: CHT, state PT/OT license, CPR/BLS; 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; PT or OT license.
• CHT credential required; CPR/BLS certification.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience.
• Graduate of accredited OT program; PT/OT doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluation and establish plan of care for hand/upper-extremity rehab.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Directs and supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints; educate on wear and care.
• Treat post-surgical, orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon and nerve rehab; scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, PTs and other health professionals; participate in care planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in case discussions.
