Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking an experienced Certified Hand Therapist to lead hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder rehabilitation within an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans and participate in orthotic fabrication and education for optimal recovery.

The role requires a Doctorate in PT/OT preferred, a current state license, and CHT credential, with 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience in outpatient settings.
• Current state PT or OT license.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments; establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of OT/PT services.
• Directs and supervises OT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints for hand and upper-extremity conditions; educate on wear and care.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions; provide scar management and return-to-work rehab.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
