Job summary

Norman Regional Health System seeks a Certified Hand Therapist to provide outpatient hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehabilitation. You will conduct assessments, create recovery plans, and supervise OTAs and students while fabricating custom orthoses.

The role requires a Bachelor's and CHT certification with 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience; CPR/BLS is expected, with opportunities to advance in a large hospital system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• 3+ years of upper-extremity rehab experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Directs and supervises activities of OTAs, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care, and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons and other health professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
