Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, create recovery plans, and perform custom orthotic fabrication.

Role requires 3+ years in upper-extremity rehab, licensure as PT or OT, and CHT certification. You will collaborate with surgeons and other clinicians and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an OT or PT program.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and establish plan of care.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient age and disability.
• Document delivery of Occupational Therapy services.
• Direct and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit and adjust custom orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care and precautions.
• Treat orthopedic, traumatic, burn, tendon, nerve, and postoperative conditions.
• Provide scar management, edema control, wound care and return-to-work rehab as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, orthopedic physicians, physical therapists and other professionals.
