Total Safety is seeking an H2S Technician to operate and maintain gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment on land or offshore drilling rigs or production platforms. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and proactive equipment maintenance.

Qualified candidates have 3–6 months H2S experience, H2S Academy Training, and related certifications; strong customer service skills are a plus. The position is on-site with diverse industrial environments and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months’ H2S/upstream experience.
• Complete H2S Academy Training (H2S, SAFE GULF/SAFE LAND).
• First aid responder training preferred.
• State and OSHA regulations training.
• Customer service skills training.
• Trained to perform site inspections using SMART Inspections program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging gas detection systems and operation/maintenance of gas detection equipment.
• Calibrate gas detection systems and breathing air safety equipment.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment.
• Perform fit testing for customer personnel.
• Inspect and service cooling and shower trailers.
• Follow Total Safety and customer policies and maintain documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Maintain ongoing inventory and equipment readiness.
• Assist others as needed.
