Job summary

UHA University Health Associates seeks an Advanced Practice Professional in Hematology/Oncology to provide care in infusion and ambulatory settings. The role includes comprehensive patient evaluations, treatment planning, and coordination with the clinical team.

The APP will participate in rounds, manage education for patients and families, and ensure discharge planning and follow-up are seamless within WVU Health System facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an APRN/RN in West Virginia, plus BLS with ACLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for hematology/oncology patients in infusion and ambulatory settings.
• Perform pre-treatment evaluations and order/coordinate tests and services.
• Participate in rounds, patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
• Document care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
