Job summary

Gold's Gym in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a proactive General Manager to lead gym operations, sales processes, and staff performance while upholding our standards of service and sanitation.

You will manage budgets, supervise managers, coordinate training, and promote events to drive memberships, with a strong focus on customer service and fiscal discipline. CPR certification preferred, HS diploma required, college degree a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; five years professional experience; college degree preferred.
• Fitness industry experience preferred but not required.
• Promotionally-oriented with ability to direct sales through outreach programs.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of performance metrics: P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participative leadership and drive for excellence.
• Current CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Manage gym operational budget and ensure profitability.
• Oversee the sales process and systems.
• Monitor, evaluate and develop gym-level staff performance.
• Hire, train and schedule staff; mentor subordinates.
• Delegate and evaluate sales-team responsibilities.
• Ensure high-level customer service in a busy retail environment.
• Plan and promote monthly gym events with marketing support.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and operational soundness.
