Job summary

Gold’s Gym - Smyrna Fitness, LLC is seeking a General Manager to lead operations, sales and staff across a high-volume gym. You will oversee budgets, customer service standards, events, and facility upkeep to ensure a premier fitness experience.

The role requires a strong track record in leadership, budgeting, and client satisfaction, with a focus on growth and staff development in a competitive market.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with five years professional experience; college degree preferred.
• Fitness industry experience preferred but not required.
• Be promotionally-oriented and able to direct sales through outreach programs.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in business or related field with two years of management experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Properly manage and maintain gym operational budget.
• Oversee the sales process and systems.
• Monitor the hiring, training and scheduling of all gym staff.
• Train and mentor subordinates and delegate responsibilities.
• Manage disciplinary actions involving all gym level employees.
• Provide high level customer service in a busy retail environment.
• Plan and promote monthly gym events using corporate marketing as needed.
• Ensure the facility is clean and operationally sound.
