Job summary

Gold’s Gym - East Tennessee LLC in Knoxville is seeking a General Manager to lead club operations and drive sales, service, and sanitation standards to the highest level. You will manage budgets, oversee the sales process, and mentor a team of gym managers and staff to deliver exceptional member experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, proven sales results, and excellent communication. A background in the fitness industry and a degree in business or related field is preferred, with CPR

Qualifications

• High School diploma with five years professional experience.
• College degree preferred.
• Fitness industry experience preferred.
• Be promotionally-oriented and able to direct sales through outreach programs.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with participative leadership and drive for excellence.
• Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor.
• CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain gym operational budget.
• Oversee the sales process and systems.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of all gym-related managers.
• Hire, train and schedule all gym staff.
• Train and mentor subordinates.
• Delegate, monitor and evaluate sales team responsibilities.
• Manage disciplinary actions involving all gym employees.
• Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service in a high volume retail environment.
• Plan and promote monthly gym events with corporate marketing support.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and operational readiness.
