Gold’s Gym - East Tennessee LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee membership sales, front desk operations, and the kids club, while supporting the General Manager in achieving financial budgets. The AGM will model the company values and maintain a friendly, clean, and safe environment for members, staff, and guests.

The role emphasizes leadership, sales performance, and operational excellence with a focus on retention, safety, and quality service across the gym.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; 3 years professional experience; college degree preferred.
• Fitness industry experience preferred but not required.
• Promotionally-oriented with ability to direct sales through outreach programs.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of performance metrics including P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with participative leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, manage, and lead sales team members to meet expectations and goals.
• Hire, train, and develop sales, kids club, and housekeeping employees.
• Maintain acceptable level of personal sales production.
• Effectively manage gym operations, inventory and assets.
• Assist with managing cancellations and improving member retention; address concerns promptly.
• Assist with Medallia to ensure member concerns are addressed.
• Assist General Manager with bi-weekly payroll and accurate punches.
• Communicate and follow cash management procedures.
