Job summary

Gold’s Gym seeks a General Manager to lead gym operations, sales, and service in a fast-paced environment. You will manage budgets, oversee the sales process, and supervise multiple managers while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and member satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to training staff. CPR cert required; attractive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with five years professional experience; college degree preferred.
• Experience in fitness industry preferred but not required.
• Be promotionally-oriented and direct sales through outreach programs.
• Strong customer service orientation with proven results.
• Understanding of P&L, revenue, budgeting, inventory, payroll, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial leadership style with drive for excellence.
• CPR Certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain gym operational budget.
• Oversee the sales process and systems.
• Monitor, evaluate performance of gym-level managers.
• Hire, train and schedule gym staff.
• Train and mentor subordinates.
• Delegate and evaluate sales team responsibilities.
• Manage disciplinary actions for gym staff.
• Provide high level customer service in a high-volume retail environment.
• Plan and promote monthly gym events with marketing support.
• Ensure facility is clean and operational.
