Job summary

Planet Fitness - NJ/MA One World Fitness seeks an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver an exceptional, Judgment Free member experience while supporting the club's financial success.

You will assist with hiring and developing staff, front desk duties, member tours, sign-ups, issue resolution, cleanliness, supplies, scheduling, and reporting. The ideal candidate has strong customer service, supervisory skills, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in fitness.
• Experience as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness.
• Strong supervisory, diplomacy, and listening abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Energetic and hard-working with strong problem resolution.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff (Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians).
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests with superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager; schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee member service quality and ensure a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assist with front desk activities: answering phones, member check-ins, new member sign-ups, and tours.
• Facilitate member requests, issues and questions; assist in cleanliness and maintenance; order supplies; track statistics and reports.
