Job summary

Planet Fitness NJ/MA One World Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver a first‑class, judgement-free member experience while supporting a financially successful club.

You will assist in recruiting, training and supervising staff, manage front desk activities, tours for prospective members, and respond to member questions while maintaining cleanliness and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills, preferably in fitness or retail.
• Experience as a Member Service Representative at Planet Fitness.
• Strong supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Hard working, energetic and capable of problem resolution.
• CPR Certification required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing staff.
• Maintain welcoming atmosphere and ensure excellent member service.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager; schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee front desk activities: check-ins, inquiries, tours, sign-ups.
• Ensure facility cleanliness and maintenance; manage supplies and budgets.
• Track weekly, monthly and annual statistics and reports.
