Job summary

Planet Fitness in Reading, MA seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and drive a high-quality, Judgement Free member experience while supporting a financially successful club. This full-time role offers leadership of staff, front desk oversight, and continual focus on member satisfaction.

You will recruit and train a high performing team, schedule staff, meet sales goals, and ensure cleanliness and safety across the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Experience in supervising staff and delivering a top-tier member experience.
• Good communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Achieve/exceed sales goals and contribute to club targets.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop staff including front desk, trainers and custodians.
• Maintain welcoming atmosphere and ensure high standards of customer service.
• Schedule and supervise staff; provide backup to Club Manager as needed.
• Oversee front desk activities, member check-ins, tours, and member requests.
• Monitor facility cleanliness and ordering of supplies within budget.
• Track statistics and prepare weekly/monthly/annual reports.
