Job summary

Taymax Group, a multi‑unit Planet Fitness franchisee, is seeking an Assistant Manager in Riverside, CA. The role supports the Club Manager in running daily operations and elevating the member experience in a busy fitness club.

You will lead front desk activities, supervise staff, ensure exceptional customer service, and help manage payroll and marketing initiatives while maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with HS diploma/GED.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred in gym/retail.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite) and ability to learn systems quickly.
• Strong customer service and problem resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing staff (Member Service Representatives, Trainers, Custodians).
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure superior customer service.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup to Club Manager.
• Schedule and supervise staff to ensure shifts are covered.
• Oversee front desk activities: greet members, check in, communicate events.
• Oversee cleanliness and facility upkeep; ensure safety and repairs as needed.
• Assist with supplies ordering and tracking weekly/monthly/yearly statistics.
• Support marketing efforts and handle daily deposits.
