Job summary

Taymax Group, LP owns and operates Planet Fitness clubs with a focus on a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone experience. The Assistant Manager will support club operations, staff development, and service excellence at the Riverside location.

Responsibilities include front desk leadership, payroll support, scheduling, maintenance oversight and member communications, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience preferred in fitness or retail.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn systems quickly.
• Strong supervisory, diplomatic and listening skills.
• Hard-working, enthusiastic and energetic with a passion for health and fitness.
• Strong customer service and problem-resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable personal means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high-performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests while ensuring service standards.
• Assist with staff management and backup support to the Club Manager.
• Schedule and supervise staff to ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensure exceptional customer service at all times and resolve issues as needed.
• Oversee payroll processing and administrative tasks for staff.
• Lead front desk activities: greet members, check-in, tours and member communications.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the club and safety of people and property.
• Assist in ordering supplies and tracking club statistics and reports.
• Support marketing efforts and daily banking as needed.
