Job summary

Taymax Group, LP in Hemet, CA is hiring an Assistant Manager to help oversee club operations and deliver a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone experience. You will work closely with the Club Manager to lead staff, ensure service excellence, and drive a financially successful gym.

The role requires strong customer service, supervisory abilities, CPR certification, and a passion for fitness. Compensation is hourly and aligned with the Planet Fitness network expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in gym or retail.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn club systems quickly.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and developing a high performing staff including front desk, trainers, and custodians.
• Support club manager to ensure exceptional customer service and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with staff scheduling and payroll processing as needed.
• Lead front desk activities and greet members; manage check-ins and member communications.
• Oversee cleanliness, safety and maintenance, and coordinate supplies within budget.
• Support marketing efforts and daily banking deposits as required.
