Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers seeks a dedicated Cooling Tower Tech (CTT) to assist with construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repairs of cooling towers. Travel may be extensive per project location and duration; safety procedures must be followed and coordination with Foreman maintained to ensure timely, quality work.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10 (preferred), and experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license or ID with reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 training preferred; experience in an industrial workplace.

Responsibilities

• Always work safely and follow procedures; stop work if unsafe.
• Assist with installation of mechanical equipment (motors, fans, gear boxes, drive shafts).
• Read blueprints/ drawings and liaise with Foreman for direction.
• Assist with material selection and layout preparation.
• Mark cuts and assembly lines on materials; use measuring tools.
• Shape materials to prescribed dimensions; assist with wiring and piping.
