Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers seeks a Cooling Tower Technician to assist with installation, fabrication, and repair of cooling towers at multiple sites across the United States. You will work under supervision to ensure safety, quality, and on-time project completion while traveling as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, OSHA 10 certification, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License (or ID) with reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred; safety training required.
• Experience in an industrial workplace is preferred.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow site procedures to ensure project quality and on-time completion.
• Assist with installation of mechanical equipment: motors, fans, gear boxes, drive shafts, supports and stacks.
• Read blueprints/building plans and liaise with Foreman for directions.
• Assist with material selection and layout preparation.
• Assist with marking cuts and assembling materials; measure accurately.
• Assist with piping, nozzle installation and framework erection.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors; travel to site as needed.
• Work at heights with 100% fall protection.
