Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Cooling Tower Tech (CTT) to assist with construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repairs for all types of cooling towers. This role requires working without constant supervision and maintaining safety and quality standards on each project.

Travel may be extensive depending on project location and duration. You will read blueprints, aid with material selection, layout, and assembly, and support field supervision to ensure on-time, safe completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Always work safely and follow safe work procedures; stop work if unsafe condition is present.
• Assist with installation of mechanical equipment (motors, fans, gear boxes, drive shafts).
• Read blueprints, sketches, or building plans and liaise with Foreman for direction.
• Assist with material selection and layout using measurement tools.
• Assist with marking cuts and assembly lines on materials.
• Assist with shaping materials to prescribed measurements.
• Assist with piping and nozzle installation.
• Assist with erection of framework.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.
• Work at heights with 100% tie-off.
• Travel to project sites as required.
