Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a skilled technician to support installation, repair, and maintenance of cooling tower systems. The role involves working on-site, following safety procedures, reading blueprints, and coordinating with foremen to complete projects safely and efficiently.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, OSHA-10 familiarity, and prior experience in industrial settings. Travel may be extensive depending on project location and duration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 certification or training is preferred.
• Experience in industrial workplace safety and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and look out for coworkers on site.
• Assist installation of mechanical equipment including motors, fans, gear boxes, drives.
• Read blueprints or plans and liaise with Foreman for direction.
• Assist with selecting lumber and materials for the job.
• Prepare layout with rulers, tape measures, framing square, and calipers.
• Assist with piping, nozzle installation, and erection of framework.
