Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Gujarati Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support a USCIS contract. Gujarati is a key South Asian language often requested in immigration and asylum proceedings.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Gujarati and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration/legal/government preferred).
• Strong telephone communication skills.
• Ability to remain accurate and confidential under pressure.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Gujarati-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret accurately, neutrally, and confidentially in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.
• Adhere to USCIS/DHS compliance and interpreter ethics standards.
• Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent/surge requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
