Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Marathi Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. This remote role requires real-time Marathi-English interpretation for immigration and asylum interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Native or near-native fluency in Marathi and English is essential, with 2+ years of interpreting experience.

U.S. citizenship or eligible residency for clearance is required; paid training and professional development are provided, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Must have native or near-native fluency in Marathi and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration/asylum/government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to maintain accuracy under pressure in legal contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Marathi-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings and official proceedings.
• Interpret accurately, impartially, and professionally in immigration and legal contexts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality under USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle scheduled and urgent/surge interpretation assignments.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers and quality audits.
