Job summary

Chicago Children's Museum is seeking a part-time Guest Services Team Member to support daily admissions and member operations at Navy Pier. You will welcome guests, process sales, and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment for visitors.

Requirements include 1–2 years of cash handling and customer service experience; knowledge of Ventrata or a similar ticketing system is a plus. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years cash handling and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Ventrata or comparable ticketing software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests and members at the admissions and membership desks.
• Adheres to cash handling policies; maintains balanced cash drawer and reports at close.
• Keeps up-to-date knowledge of CCM policies and programs and shares with guests.
• Maintains knowledge of CCM experiences and promotions to answer guest questions.
• Processes promotions and coupons accurately in databases.
• Resolves guest and member issues with Supervisor/Manager guidance.
• Assists with opening/closing admission and membership stations; resets environment as needed.
• Applies sales techniques to meet admissions and attendance/revenue goals.
• Follows health and safety protocols to keep spaces safe and clean.
• Manages visitor flow and cuing at exhibits; handles emergencies as needed.
• Engages in DEAI efforts and participates in trainings and meetings.
