Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and Navy Lodge properties seek a Front Desk Clerk to be the first point of contact for guests, handling all stages of their stay and resolving issues. You will support reservations, payments, check-in/out, and provide local information while maintaining security and privacy of guests.

The role requires overnight shifts, strong communication, and teamwork with lodging staff to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Part-time schedule at Whiting Field facility.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year general office clerical experience.
• 1 year progressively responsible experience.
• Education substitution: college coursework can substitute 6 months of experience.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and flexible scheduling.

Aufgaben

• Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and provide lodging information.
• Assist with reservations, payments, check-in/check-out, and verification.
• Welcome guests at arrival and maintain outstanding relations.
• Complete mandatory training for overnight shifts and cover gaps as needed.
• Communicate with lodging staff and management on operations and issues.
• Follow standard procedures for eligibility and CNA options when rooms aren’t available.
• Balance shift transactions and maintain guest service during operations.
• Register rooms, issue keys, process messages, and record occupancy.
• Operate a multi-line phone system and answer travel directions questions.
• Manage keys, secure storage, and report any security concerns.
• Use PMS to access guest info, modify reservations, and verify details.
• Assist with Lost and Found, trouble logs, and reassign rooms when needed.
• Prepare end-of-shift reports and reconcile cash and receipts.
• Support breakfast setup and clean-up; obtain food handling certifications as required.
• Assist in laundry or supply delivery if needed; may travel to other facilities.
• Work all shifts, including weekends/holidays; participate in weather/emergency coverage.
• Possibly obtain NHG front desk certification within 6 months of employment.
