My Place Hotel Anchorage is seeking a Guest Services Representative to be the friendly face at the front desk, greeting guests and handling check-ins and check-outs with warmth and accuracy. You will assist with reservations, provide local area information, and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a seamless stay.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for guest interactions.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Reliability, professionalism, and consistency in guest service.
• Careful attention to detail in financial transactions and guest records.

Responsibilities

• Guest Interaction: Welcome guests, check-in/check-out, manage reservations, and record charges.
• Guest Assistance: Provide information on hotel, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and churches; address guest concerns.
• Telephone Management: Operate front desk phone system, take/transfer calls, record messages, wake-up calls.
• Financial Transactions: Process credit card authorizations, cash handling, and making change.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain front desk records, Night Audit Checklist, cash logs, and front desk logs; report issues to GM.
• Safety & Security: Follow protocols; inspect property, monitor doors, lighting, and outdoor areas.
• Loyalty Program Promotion: Promote Stay Rewarded Loyalty Program.
• Cleaning Support: Assist with laundry and cleaning of common areas, stock supplies, make coffee, and ensure entrances/sidewalks are clear of snow/ice.
• Support Services: Provide additional guest supplies, manage keys, and assist housekeeping as needed.
• Housekeeping Assistance: Help with room cleaning when necessary.
