Job summary

InTown Suites in Austin, TX seeks a Guest Services Representative to greet guests, check in/out, and handle front desk duties when the General Manager is away. You will ensure reservations are accurate and guest issues resolved professionally.

Candidates should have English fluency, math skills for revenue calculations, and strong computer skills. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required; must be able to work long hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a functioning automobile.
• Read, speak, write and understand the English language to interact with guests, staff, handle administrative duties, etc.
• Sufficient mathematical skills to calculate room revenue, average rate, occupancy percentage and balance a cash bank, etc.
• General computer proficiency and ability to operate a computer/terminal.
• Knowledge of Front Office operations, service standards and guest etiquette.
• Ability to manage multiple activities in stressful situations and meet time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in a courteous, professional manner at front desk and related areas.
• Check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner; represent hotel positively when GM is absent.
• Ensure reservations are taken correctly and accurately.
• Handle guest issues professionally and report concerns to GM or Regional Operations Manager.
• Maintain bank deposits during GM absence and assist with safety/security compliance.
