Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is hiring for a Hospitality Team Member at a Holiday Inn in the United States. You will be part of a guest-facing team, handling payments, seating arrangements, and coordinating with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires basic reading, writing and math skills, plus at least 6 months cash handling or food service experience. You may work nights, weekends or holidays as needed, with comprehensive training and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• 6 months cash handling experience or food service experience.
• Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and handle food objects.
• Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders and completing paperwork.
• May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments and process transactions; balance cash drawer at close of shift; complete opening/closing paperwork; document voids on balance sheet.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Greet guests in a prompt and courteous manner; seat guests; manage a balanced workload among servers; alert guests when a table is available.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests.
• Process take-out orders; answer room service calls and upsell where appropriate.
• Clear and reset tables; assist with opening tasks such as assigning stations to servers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
