Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking team members for front-of-house roles at our San Antonio properties. You will receive payments, balance cash, and complete routine paperwork while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. You’ll coordinate with servers and other departments to deliver timely, high-quality service.

The role requires basic reading, writing and math skills, with cash-handling experience. Occasional nights, weekends or holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills are required.
• 6 months cash handling experience or food service experience is expected.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or health/food handler card may be required by local/state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments and process transactions; balance cash drawer at close; complete opening/closing paperwork; document voids.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Greet guests promptly and courteously; seat guests and manage a balanced workload among servers; alert guests when a table is available.
• May handle guest complaints and special requests.
• May process take-out orders or room service orders; assist with up-selling.
• Clear and reset tables; assist with opening tasks such as assigning stations to servers.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
