Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Agent in Milpitas, CA. You will be the first contact for guests, handling check-ins, information requests, and front desk technology support, while promoting Sonesta standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires a High School diploma, about one year of hotel or retail experience, fluent English, strong communication, and basic math. Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; some certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel experience or retail customer service preferred.
• Fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Math skills including budgeting, percentages and variances preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required; TIPS may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue keys, provide hotel information, and answer phones.
• Process cash and card transactions and related reports.
• Maintain security of cash, cards, and guest information.
• May book reservations, handle cancellations, and upsell rooms.
• Support front desk operations and collaborate with shifts and management.
• Assist with shoppe service and beverage operations following local laws.
