Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation seeks a Guest Services Agent to deliver Sonesta Service at the front desk. You will register guests, answer calls, handle reservations, and process payments while upholding brand standards.

The role requires strong English communication, cash handling, and a customer-focused mindset. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected, with opportunities for growth within the hospitality network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service preferred.
• Experience in extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills including basic math and budgeting preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required; TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and location.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit card transactions and related reports.
• Maintain security of cash, transactions, and guest information.
• May book reservations and handle cancellations or updates.
• Upsell rooms to maximize revenue and follow seasonal strategy.
