Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Room Attendant in Milpitas, CA to clean guest rooms and public spaces to brand standards. You will support housekeeping operations, including laundry duties, to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations.

The role requires physical stamina, morning/evening/weekend availability, and adherence to safety protocols. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred (within hospitality).
• Extended stay industry background preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
• Frequently standing, bending, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items up to 75 pounds.
• Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals required.
• Work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions per G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests to achieve satisfaction.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to standards and procedures.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed and report unserviced rooms.
• Monitor laundry supplies and operate washers/dryers when on laundry duty.
• Minimize waste and assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Handle lost and found items per procedures.
• Promote teamwork and coordination with other shifts.
