Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Guest Services Agent to ensure outstanding guest experiences at the front desk. You will register guests, manage reservations, answer inquiries, and process transactions with accuracy while upholding Sonesta standards.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a teamwork mindset. Prior hospitality or retail experience is preferred. Flexible schedule and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of hotel experience or retail customer service is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages are beneficial.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems is preferred.
• ServSafe and/or TIPS certifications may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and locations.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
• Assist with guest reservations and changes; upsell rooms when appropriate.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategy for pricing and room types.
• Promote shoppe and pour services and ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
• Maintain security of cash, guest information, and safes.
• Work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
