Job summary

Sandpiper Hospitality (SH) is seeking a Guest Services Ambassador (GSA) for the hotel front desk in Chesapeake, VA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring smooth front desk operations.

You will greet guests, manage check-ins/check-outs, coordinate properties tours and events, and uphold safety standards. The position emphasizes serving as the hotel’s face and service champion.

Qualifications

• Front desk/customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and guest-service mindset.
• Ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve conflicts professionally.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide assistance to ensure an excellent guest experience.
• Coordinate all front desk operations including check-ins, move-outs, renewals, reservations, and property tours.
• Ensure safety of the building and occupants, and respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Assist in lead management and maximize revenue through upselling of ancillary offerings.
• Support property operations with cross-functional tasks and on-site presence during shifts.
• Perform laundry duties and basic cleaning of facilities as part of routine housekeeping.
• Cross-train on duties of non-management staff and cover shifts as needed.
• Stay on site for the entire shift with a provided paid 30-minute meal break.
