Job summary

SpringHill Suites Paso Robles-Atascadero is seeking a Guest Service Representative to provide a warm welcome, assist guests during their stay, and keep front desk operations running smoothly with professionalism and hospitality.

You will handle check-ins/outs, answer questions about the hotel and local area, process reservations, manage calls, and support other hotel teams as needed while maintaining accuracy and a positive demeanor.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Previous hotel front desk experience is a plus, but not required.
• Genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, professional, and confident when interacting with guests.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling cash and basic accounting procedures.
• Basic computer, typing, and cash register skills.
• Dependable and willing to support the team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests with a warm, efficient check-in experience.
• Process departures, close accounts, and ensure charges are accurate.
• Handle cash, credit transactions, receipts, and guest accounts per procedures.
• Answer guest questions and provide recommendations about the hotel and area.
• Accept and manage reservations by phone and in person, conveying rates and availability.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to add value to the guest experience.
• Stay informed about hotel amenities and local events to assist guests confidently.
• Answer calls, assist with wake-up calls, and manage messages.
• Maintain front desk logs and communication tools; coordinate with teams.
• Assist other hotel teams as needed to support guest experience.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and courteous presence in every interaction.
