Job summary

Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel in Newport Beach is seeking a Guest Service Representative to welcome guests, assist throughout their stay, and keep front desk operations running smoothly with professionalism and hospitality.

You will check in guests, handle reservations, manage charges, answer questions, and coordinate with other teams to ensure a seamless, memorable visit in a coastal boutique setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Previous hotel front desk experience is a plus, but not required.
• Genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests with a warm, efficient check-in experience.
• Process departures, close accounts, and ensure charges are accurate.
• Handle cash, credit transactions, receipts, and guest accounts.
• Answer guest questions and provide knowledgeable recommendations about the hotel and surrounding area.
• Accept and manage reservations by phone and in person with clear rates and availability.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
• Stay informed about hotel amenities, in-house activities, and local events.
• Answer incoming calls and manage wake‑up call requests.
• Receive, sort, and distribute guest mail and messages.
• Maintain front desk logs and communication tools for team updates.
• Communicate effectively with guests and other departments.
• Assist other hotel teams to support the guest experience.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and courteous presence at all times.
