Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Bridgeport, CT is hiring a store teammate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers find products, and ensure a fast checkout experience.

You will participate in truck unloading, stocking, planograms, and store recovery while promoting the Michaels Rewards and Private Label Credit Card programs. This role requires standing, frequent walking, and weekend/evening availability.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain store recovery and in-stock conditions; handle returns/go back process
• Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; promote a positive image and be a role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
