United Express Assistant Manager at United Supermarkets, LLC focuses on guest relations and department leadership. You will support the Department Manager with ordering, merchandising, and training while driving safe, legal, and profitable operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lead a team, meet financial goals, and maintain high store standards, including food safety and guest satisfaction.

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of retail management experience.
• Ability to obtain certifications to handle tobacco, alcohol, fuel, propane, and food service items.
• Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management.
• Self-motivation, problem-solving, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Proficiency with basic math and computer tasks (Word, Excel, Email).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.
• Certified Food Safety Manager certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and engage guests upon entry to the department.
• Assist in interviewing, training, scheduling, performance, and productivity of department team members.
• Coordinate communication of information across the department.
• Maintain positive morale and a productive department environment.
• Demonstrate leadership by time management and delegation.
• Support division concepts and programs.
• Contribute to meeting financial goals.
• Ensure quality product availability and solutions for guests.
• Safeguard department assets and enforce policies for asset control.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area; promote safe practices.
• Ensure department systems and processes are used correctly.
• Collaborate with Department Manager for leadership meetings to plan goals.
• Coach and develop team members with support from Department Manager and Talent Management.
• Coordinate books and manuals and manage inventory processes.
• Handle department issues in the absence of the Department Manager, including ordering and merchandising.
• Ensure Food Safety Procedures are followed and maintain safety standards.
• Demonstrate conflict management skills.
• Perform other duties as required by upper management.
