Job summary

United Supermarkets, LLC is seeking a Grocery Manager Assistant to enhance guest relations and oversee grocery, dairy, and frozen departments. You will support store operations, ensure safety and adherence to policies, and help lead the department staffing and merchandising efforts.

You will work a 40-hour week with varied shifts, and maintain a Certified Food Safety Manager certification. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain Certified Food Safety Manager certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Minimum of one year store experience.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage every guest.
• Assist with stocking levels in grocery, dairy, and frozen departments.
• Assist with interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of department team members.
• Ensure proper rotation procedures are enforced.
• Assist with merchandising, displays, and purchasing of seasonal items.
• Coordinate with grocery DSD partners on displays and buy-ins.
• Maintain backroom organization, safety and stock levels, including freezer areas.
