Job summary

Green Thumb Industries is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to blend hospitality with safety leadership in our Bethesda-area dispensary. You’ll greet guests, manage check-ins, and uphold compliance while maintaining a warm, concierge-level service experience.

Ideal candidates bring at least one year in customer-facing roles, familiarity with POS systems, and a strong commitment to guest-first service. This on-site role requires flexible hours and strict adherence to cannabis industry

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer-facing or concierge experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and/or compliance technology preferred.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus when paired with a strong commitment to guest-first, hospitality-focused service.
• Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (varying shifts including mornings, days, nights, weekends).
• Must pass all required background checks including state cannabis employment requirements.
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must be 21 years or older and meet all state-specific cannabis employment requirements.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage efficient check-in while upholding compliance.
• Set the “RISE Vibe” from entry.
• Provide basic concierge-level support: answer questions and direct traffic.
• Deter incidents and maintain calm and order as a visible, approachable presence.
• Monitor store entry/exit and site perimeters for safety and compliance.
• De-escalate situations with empathy and clear communication.
• Escort guests as needed and support safety and guest flow.
• Report safety or compliance incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Assist with training new APS team members.
