Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Guest Services Supervisor for Le Meridien Columbus, The Joseph. You will support the Guest Services Manager, ensure courteous service, and help maximize room revenue and occupancy throughout the guest stay and before arrival.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory skills, and a friendly, service-oriented approach. This position is based at the hotel and involves long hours and shift work to maintain service standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary information when taking room reservations and quote rates; monitor VIP and special guest requests.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Operate Front Desk computer system and related tasks.
• Ensure logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of in-house groups and closed dates.
• Follow Highgate Hotel credit policies and complete shift check tasks.
• Oversee room status reports and communicate with affected departments.
• Maximize room revenue through merchandising and guest service excellence.
• Assist in training and cross-training of new hires periodically.
