Job summary

UDF is seeking an Assistant Manager in Ohio to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience. You will ensure safe, efficient shift performance, oversee cash handling and POS operations, and maintain store standards.

You will report to the Store Manager, work 37–40 hours weekly, and may rotate among 1st–3rd shifts. Prior hospitality or convenience store supervision is preferred; alcohol/tobacco sales compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise and coach associates to deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to greet guests warmly.
• Experience in training and interviewing applicants for open positions.
• Proficient cash handling, POS transactions, and price verification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, assign tasks, monitor performance, and coach on guest experience.
• Handle store administration tasks: ordering, reports, paperwork as directed by Store Manager.
• Ensure the Hi Five Guest Experience, greet guests, anticipate needs, and assist to ensure return visits.
• Prepare DipSide items and maintain cleanliness of service and display areas.
• Operate POS and gas console accurately, process transactions, and manage cash handling.
• Stock shelves, ensure product health, faces, rotation, and proper labeling.
• Maintain store security, monitor guests, control cash drops, and follow safety procedures.
• Ensure maintenance of store conditions and equipment temperatures; report issues promptly.
• Complete time records and related documentation accurately.
