Job summary

UDF in Ohio is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations and deliver The Hi Five Guest Experience. You will oversee shift teams, ensure high standards of store conditions, and manage cash and point-of-sale transactions with accuracy.

The role requires strong communication, experience supervising front-line staff, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, including alcohol and tobacco sales where applicable. Full-time, 37-40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment, including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and accurately make change.
• Ability to lift/move items and operate dip cabinet and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, coach and interview applicants.
• Manage store administration and paperwork.
• Provide the Hi Five Guest Experience and greet Guests warmly.
• Prepare DipSide items using dip cabinets.
• Operate POS and gas console accurately and securely.
• Stock shelves and displays, ensure proper stock rotations.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, monitor equipment temps.
• Complete time records and Customer First documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
