Job summary

Five Below is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee daily operations and deliver a WOW customer experience. As Manager on Duty you will help supervise crew, ensure friendly checkout, and uphold store standards.

This hourly role starts at $14.50 per hour and requires flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and occasional overnight shifts. You will partner with the leadership team on merchandising, training, and maintaining a safe, welcoming store.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 years of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all crew members WOW the Customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversee the daily activities of store associates, ensuring performance and service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the floor.
• Act as Manager on Duty, taking full responsibility for operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Manage opening/closing store procedures: cash, doors, alarms, and daily readiness.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on policies and product knowledge.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising and service.
• Partner with store leadership on merchandising and World Recovery.
• Perform store maintenance including cleaning and stock room upkeep.
