Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a store associate to help customers shop, locate products, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, and maintain store standards to deliver our Brand Promises.

You will engage customers about rewards programs and enrollments, participate in omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS, and cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production. Regular hours may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to perform cash handling to standards.
• Experience with store merchandising and stock procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop our store, locate products and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in-stock store; complete store recovery tasks.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Interact respectfully with others; promote company vision and values; be a role model.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
