Job summary

Michaels in Johnstown, PA is seeking a customer-focused associate to help customers, operate the checkout, and support in-store operations. You will engage customers with the rewards program, assist with BOPIS/SFS, and participate in stock and framing-related tasks to keep the store well merchandised and in stock.

The role emphasizes friendly service, cash handling standards, and adherence to SOPs while supporting merchandise flow and store recovery activities.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the return/go back process and in‑stock store
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; interact respectfully with customers and team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
• Other duties as assigned
