Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Newport, RI seeks a Hospitality Group front desk associate to greet guests, handle check-ins/check-outs, and support lobby operations.

You will manage reservations with the PMS, address guest requests, resolve issues, and perform overnight duties. Overnight shifts are regularly scheduled. 1 year general office experience and 1 year specialized experience are required; NHG front desk certification may be pursued within six months.

Qualifications

• General office clerical experience (1 year).
• Specialized experience: 1 year progressively responsible related to the position.
• Education may substitute: 0.5 year study for 6 months experience.

Responsabilités

• Welcomes guests, answers inquiries, and provides information on lodging, amenities, base facilities and local attractions.
• Processes check-ins/outs, verifies eligibility, assigns rooms, issues keys, manages reservations and payments.
• Uses the PMS to create/modify/confirm/cancel reservations and maintain guest records; provides CNA and lodging options.
• Overnight training, coverage for call-outs and scheduling gaps; performs overnight duties and reconciliations.
• Resolves routine guest complaints and refers complex issues to management.
• Operates multi-line phones, handles messages, wakes guests, and prepares routine correspondence.
• Logs maintenance requests in PMS, arranges room relocations, and closes day-end reports.
