Valor Hospitality is seeking a Front Desk/Guest Service Associate to handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest needs at our San Diego properties. You will greet guests, provide rate quotes, and help guests with directions and local attractions, while maintaining a welcoming, service-oriented presence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 3–12 months in guest relations, with strong computer and cash handling skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–12 months of employment in a related guest relations position.
• Excellent computer and cash handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and stay sociable.
• Strong communication and guest service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Check in/out guests and manage room reservations.
• Provide quotes for room rates and up-sell when possible.
• Pre-register, block reservations and manage same-day/future bookings.
• Balance guest folio charges and verify correct postings.
• Handle cash and cash equivalents per policies.
• Resolve guest inquiries, complaints, and requests.
• Assist guests with directions and local attractions.
• Answer phone lines and coordinate with Housekeeping.
