Job summary

Residence Inn Palo Alto Los Altos is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to be the first impression for guests, greeting arrivals and handling check-in and check-out with accuracy, courtesy and efficiency.

You will respond to guest questions, coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to fulfill requests, process payments, and provide local area directions, while maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment and supporting a team-driven hotel culture.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, type and use basic technology.
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive a friendly, efficient and error-free check-in and check-out.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet guest requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Answer questions regarding the local area and facilities and provide directions.
• Demonstrate proper phone etiquette including transfers, messages, and reservations.
• Follow cash handling procedures and post/reconcile charges on guest receipts.
• Support hotel goals through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
