Job summary

Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain knowledge of merchandise to ensure customer satisfaction.

This role emphasizes proactive engagement with shoppers, integrity, and effective communication in a busy retail setting. The position supports store operations, loss prevention, and merchandising efforts, with responsibilities including greeting customers, processing transactions, and enforcing store policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight and price changes/markdowns as needed.
• Balances register according to company policy and handles all payments.
• Provides customer service: greet customers, fits room policies, rings up transactions, thanks customers, invites return.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assists with Loss Prevention procedures and reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty.
• Performs housekeeping and merchandising work on the sales floor.
• Follows safety procedures and presents a professional appearance.
